# You’re not Welsh, Helin ## A post for James friends Hello guys, today was my first day at my new school, it didn’t go very well. At school I got build because I’m from England. A boy named Arwel shouted at me and said “You’re not Welsh” he was one of my bullies. Every time I gave an answer in class, the whole class laughed maybe my accent was too English? I felt so embarrassed. I already knew it will be a problem making friends in this class. When school ended, I was eating chocolate on my way home. But Arwel showed up and said “give me a bit of that” I gave him my chocolate because I didn’t want to make any trouble. I hope I’ll make some friends bye! I miss you all guys! ## The Welsh cake Learn how to make this Welsh cake! All you need is: - Daffodils - Plain Flour - Milk - Butter - Lard - Egg - Currants - Baking Powder - Caster Sugar - Mixed Spices First mix the plain flour, caster sugar, baking powder and the mixed spices, with your hands. Then add the butter and the lard mix them again with your hands until it all comes together. Then add your currants and mix it up. Add one egg and mix it together. And then add a little bit of milk, don’t add too much you can always add more but you can’t take it out. And when it looks ready, take it out and put some flour on it. Then roll it until it’s about 3 cm thick. Then cut it out round with something or a glass. Next put them in a pan can cook them for ca. 3 minutes. It’s important to not cook the Welsh cakes completely, you want to make sure they are a little bit undercooked. Because they will continue cooking as they cool. ## TERRIBLE NEWS!!! Today something terrible happened in Llwynon, in Wales! A barn was on fire. It was really bad the flames sprang higher and higher into the air! It took the fire brigade twenty minutes to come. Not many people got hurt, there was only one man that got hurt. A boy named James found him laying on the ground. He was badly hurt! He was still alive, he was sent to the hospital. Luckily no one else got hurt. And no other house was on fire. The firemen were fighting a terrible battle against the flames. Later about an hour the flames were smaller. The firemen had the fire under control. He’s 13 years old. James just moved from England to Wales with his family. He doesn’t like it there in Welsh. James is a nice person well, he did say bad things about Welsh at the start. And James hates Arwel it was because Arwel was bullying James. James likes to play football that’s his hobby. His favourite subject must be English, James can a lot of English he is from England, and in England people speak English. James has a friend in his class and that’s Owain he was the new boy after James. ## Important rivers in Wales This river is called the Severn river. It’s the longest river in Wales, and it’s also the longest river in England. The river Severn is 220 miles long. The river starts in the Cambrian mountains of mid-Wales, and it ends in the Severn Estuary. The river flows through many towns like Shropshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. The county towns of Shrewsbury, Gloucester and the city of Worcester. ## The highest mountain in Wales This mountain is called Snowdon, it’s the highest mountain in Wales. ## I like!!!!!
